Response to failing marriages
As Christians we have, to an extent an ability to tell the future, the object in q1uestion, the Bible. For years we as Christians have looked at the failing of society, the depravation of morality and the ridicule of Christianity and watched it slowly get worse and worse. Well it seems that the news world is just starting to catch up to Christianity and realize that wait, things are getting out of hand. And one of the contributors to this new revelation is marriage. It has been discovered by the smart people of this world that children that are not raised in a home with two parents are much more likely to fall into poverty. This makes a lot of sense, if you have no guidance in your life, the things of this world look progressively more and more appealing and with no foundation in morals, there is nothing to reverse that life style until juvenile hall or prison try to straighten you out. Another number to consider is that in 2014, a survey was done to see what percentage of Americans were married. The results came back pretty grim, in 2012 the percentage of married households was 50.5% that's a bout a 22% drop from the high in 1960. Now this means one of two things, either people aren't having as many children as they used too or its that their having just as many children but instead of raising a kid, they put it up for adoption or one party leaves and makes the other stay and take care of it. Previously I stated that having two parents presented children with a much better future than those that have one or no parents, so if that's the case and if the 22% decrease in married households are all due to one person leaving when the child was born, can you imagine how many children that is that are going grow up in what statistics say are devastating to children's lives? lets just say that the results are very sad. Now for something funny, it turns out that the smarter you are, the more likely you are to get married. Jonathon Rauch, leader of the movement Marriage Opportunity Council, says that "Marriage is thriving among people with four-year college diplomas, but the further you go on the education totem pole, the worse it's doing." So on another big issue, World and Christianity meet, not on the battlefield for marriage, but rather as comparison for how things should be. But just watch, soon the success (or failing) of marriages will be brought into question and, research will be done, survey's will be completed, and beaurocrats, will give their opinions or laws. In the end, the world can't handle the truth, that said, they will never turn to the ultimate source of truth, the Bible. They will continue their selfish pursuits and try to find truth in lies and light in the darkness.

What do you think would happen if marriage was simply abolished as a civic institution, not recognized at all for anyone by the government? Just a question I thought of reading your blog.
